Fatal Traffic Collision

The Cobb County Police Department's Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred at 7561 Six Flags Parkway, in the parking lot of Six Flags over Georgia, on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 4:18 p.m.

According to investigators, 51-year-old Teki Russell of Senoia had driven to visit Six Flags over Georgia in a silver 2019 Chrysler Pacifica along with four (4) juvenile relatives (ages 10, 6, 3, and 2 years old). Upon returning to her vehicle to leave the park, Ms. Russell believed all four juveniles were secure in the vehicle; however, the 2-year-old was not in the vehicle. As Ms. Russell exited her parking space, the Pacifica collided with the 2-year-old causing serious injury. The juvenile was transported to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta – Scottish Rite Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
