Fatal Traffic Crash

Cobb County Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred on February 21, 2020 at 11:19 p.m. According to investigators a white 2011 Mercedes SL550 was turning left from northbound Johnson Ferry Road to Powers Road when it collided with a white 2010 Mercedes C300 which was southbound on Johnson Ferry Road.

The driver of the SL550, 61-year-old Robert M. Higginbotham of Marietta, was ejected from the car and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the C300, 19-year-old Colin W Outz of Marietta, was transported to Kennestone Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Fatal Traffic Crash

Cobb County Police Department’s STEP Unit is investigating another fatal traffic crash that occurred on February 22, 2020 at 4:25 p.m. According to investigators a gray 2001 Nissan Altima was making a left turn from eastbound Alabama Road to Old Mountain Park Road when it collided with a black 2009 Suzuki SV650 motorcycle which was westbound on Alabama Road.

The operator of the motorcycle, 18-year-old Cameron S Clason of Woodstock, was ejected and transported to North Fulton Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Nissan, 21-year-old Genesis L. Lugo of Woodstock, did not need medical attention on the scene.
