The Cobb County Police Department Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Precinct Five on Friday, August 30, 2019, at 10:48 a.m. on Powder Springs Road at Grove Valley Drive.

Per investigators, a white 2011 Isuzu box truck was northbound on Powder Springs Road. The Isuzu stopped in the center turn lane while preparing to make a left turn onto Grove Valley Drive. A silver 2006 Honda Odyssey was traveling north on Powder Springs Road. The Honda partially entered the center turn lane. The left front of the Honda collided with the right rear of the Isuzu.

The driver of the Honda was identified as 67-year-old Bro Grace Amen of Marietta. Mr. Amen was pronounced deceased at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.

The driver of the Isuzu was identified as 21-year-old Shaun Robinson of Marietta. Mr. Robinson was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

No charges are expected to be filed.
