The Cobb County Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is investigating a single vehicle collision that occurred between 4:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. this morning, February 10, 2019. Per investigators, a silver 2014 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling south on Twisted Oak Lane off Jamerson Road in a subdivision which is currently under construction. The vehicle collided with a metal arm which penetrated the passenger compartment of the Chevrolet and caused fatal injuries to the driver.

The driver of the Chevrolet Malibu has been identified as 33-year-old Darius J. Sanders of Marietta.
