On 05-11-2019 at approximately 12:47 p.m., Cobb County Police Precinct Two uniform officers were dispatched to 2105 Mesa Valley, Austell, in reference to a person shot. Officers located a 16-year-old male victim suffering from two gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Cobb Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Witnesses stated that the suspect arrived at the location for a physical altercation with the victim and produced a firearm during the confrontation, shooting the victim.

A warrant has been obtained for the 15-year-old suspect but he is not in custody at this time. The investigation continues and is being handled by Cobb County Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit.
