UPDATE

On August 16, 2019, an arrest warrant was obtained for 20-year-old Lord Angulo of Marietta. The arrest warrant charges Mr. Angulo with Aggravated Assault (Intent to Murder) and Felony Murder. He is currently in custody in Cherokee County on unrelated charges.

Homicide

On Thursday, July 4, 2019 at approximately 1:16 a.m. Cobb County Police Department uniform officers from Precinct Four were dispatched to 1333 Penny Lane in reference to a male who had been shot. Upon arrival, officers located a victim deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was identified as 17-year-old Jalante Brown. Next of kin has been notified.

No suspect information is available at this time.

The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Cobb County Police Department Crimes Against Persons Unit at 770-499-3945.
