The Cobb County Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is assisting the Powder Springs Police Department with a serious injury traffic collision that occurred within the city limits of Powder Springs (C.H. James Parkway and Hill Road) on Saturday, October 31, 2020, at 9:40 p.m. 

According to investigators, a pedestrian was in the southbound lanes of C.H. James Parkway when he was hit by a vehicle that was traveling south on C.H. James Parkway approaching Hill Road. The vehicle left the scene, and the driver has not yet been identified. 

The pedestrian, 22-year-old Austin B. Holland of Acworth, was transported to Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center with serious injuries.
