Serious Injury Collision
The Cobb County Police Department's Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is investigating a serious injury collision that occurred at the intersection of Canton Road and Kurtz Road on Friday, December 11, 2020, at 1:30 p.m.
According to investigators, a red 2020 Kia Niro was attempting to turn left from Kurtz Road onto northbound Canton Road, while a black 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling in the left lane of southbound Canton Road. The Kia failed to yield, and the front tire of the Harley Davidson struck the driver's side of the Kia. The collision's impact caused the operator of the Harley Davidson to vault over the top of the Kia and come to an uncontrolled rest southwest of the Kia.
The driver of the Kia Niro, 67-year-old Brent Heath of Marietta, was not injured.
The operator of the Harley Davidson, 46-year-old Lester Keller of Canton, was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries.

Serious Injury Collision
The Cobb County Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is investigating a serious injury collision that occurred on Riverside Parkway east of Elsner Road on Friday, December 11, 2020, at 1:32 p.m.
According to investigators, a pedestrian was crossing Riverside Parkway in front of Parkview Apartments from north to south. The pedestrian was not using a crosswalk. The pedestrian stepped into the path of a white 2016 Ford E-350 panel truck traveling east on Riverside Parkway. The front of the Ford collided with the pedestrian in the right eastbound lane.
The pedestrian, 39-year-old Marcus Washington of Austell, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Ford E-350, 35-year-old Kenneth McLeoud of Riverdale, did not require medical attention on scene.
