UPDATE- Serious Injury Vehicle Collision
UPDATE
On November 25, 2019, an arrest warrant for Mr. Pollock was obtained from the Cobb County Magistrate’s Office. Mr. Pollock is charged with Reckless Driving (M) and Serious Injury by Vehicle (F).
Mr. Pollock turned himself in to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
Distracted driving is a contributing factor to this collision. Mr. Miller remains hospitalized with serious injuries to include quadriplegia.

Serious Injury Vehicle Collision
The Cobb County Police Department Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is investigating a serious injury vehicle collision that occurred in Precinct Three on Monday, August 19, 2019 at 1:55 p.m. on Austell Road near Favor Road.
Per investigators, a white 2017 Chevrolet Sonic was traveling east on Austell Road in the left travel lane. A white 2013 VIP Moped was traveling east on Austell Road in the left travel lane. The Chevrolet collided into the rear of the Moped as it was slowing down to enter the left turn lane. The driver of the Moped was ejected.
The driver of the VIP Moped was identified as 62-year-old Bobby L. Miller. He was transported to Kennestone Hospital with life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet Sonic was identified as 41-year-old Marlon Pollock. Mr. Pollock was not injured in the collision.
