The number used in an emergency is on every police car and fire truck nationwide. Still, people have no idea what the person on the other end of the phone does when they call 911. The 2024 Cobb 911 Kids Expo offers community members, the opportunity to meet Cobb's 911 team and learn more about how 911 works.

The 2024 Cobb 911 Kids Expo is a free event, geared toward children, to teach them about calling 911 and staying safe in their community. This interactive event, held by the Cobb County 911 team, is unlike any other public safety event, as the attendees can see the faces of those they'd call for help.

This promises to be a morning of fun and learning for kids of all ages. This event which started in 2021, has grown to include Cobb 911's public safety partners and other county departments, and will offer fun relay and spin-the-wheel games, interactive activities such as a CPR demonstration, and the opportunity to dispatch an officer to a call. The 911 team will also give tours of the emergency communications center and their mobile command vehicle.
