The Authority has regular meetings on a quarterly basis starting with February 8, 2022. Following that date the meetings will be the second Wednesday in May, August and November. Dates may vary due to what business there is to discuss.

Description
Consists of five (5) members appointed by the BOC, who after initially staggered terms, serve for five (5) years. It is a public body corporate and politic to be known as the Housing Authority of Cobb County. Members must be Cobb County residents and may not be an officer or employee of the County. Members hold office until they are reappointed or their successor appointed.
Members do not receive compensation but may be reimbursed for necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.
Generally, the purpose of the Authority is to help finance the cost of providing an adequate supply of housing for the people of Cobb County through its powers to issue revenue bonds and other programs.

Tim Richardson, Commissioner and Chairman
Tim Richardson is the Chairman of the Housing Authority and brings a technical mindset coupled with inside knowledge of local government operations. He has served on the Acworth Board of Aldermen (city council) since 1998 and is the current Mayor Pro Tem. Tim chairs multiple committees and is a liaison to other organizations. Previously, he worked at a major technology company as a Field Engineer. He also serves as a Staff Sergeant in a component unit of the Georgia Department of Defense that supports and augments the Georgia National Guard to assist state and local government agencies in emergencies.
Tyronda Minter, Commissioner and Vice Chairman
Tyronda Minter is the Vice Chairman of the Housing Authority and works at the intersection of community development, affordable and assisted housing, and education. Her experience has been leveraged in philanthropy, nonprofit, and government sectors as a pioneer of place-based initiatives and cross-sector collaborations that improve low-wealth families' housing and neighborhood conditions and the educational and developmental outcomes of children and youth residing in distressed communities. Tyronda serves as V P, Educational Initiatives, for a national nonprofit. For decades, she held leadership roles at local housing authorities in the Atlanta area, has earned multiple assisted housing certifications, and has a proven track record in accessing and successfully deploying federal housing and education resources in local communities in partnership with city government, community-based organizations, high poverty schools, and school districts.
Rosan Hall, Commissioner and Secretary/Treasurer
Rosan Hall is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Housing Authority and brings expertise and knowledge in multiple facets of real estate and business development. Rosan’s career in residential real estate began in 1991 when she became a licensed Realtor. Presently, she leads a residential home rental company. Before working in real estate sales and leasing, Ms. Hall was involved in starting and operating an innovative contracting company that has expanded and remains in operation under the control of her sons.
Sharon Henry, Commissioner
Sharon Henry is a highly skilled and seasoned, laser-focused, full-time real estate broker and entrepreneur who specializes in working with first-time homebuyers, foreclosure prevention, short sales, and distressed properties. As the founder of Quality Solutions Global brokered by eXp Realty, she leads by example, teaching her team the winning formula of being committed to creating “win-win or no deal” situations for their clients. She is also a highly respected industry leader who advocates for homeownership, particularly in underserved minority communities that typically do not have access to the resources and education needed to purchase a home. She has served in various leadership roles for various organizations, particularly the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, where she was elected to serve on the local, state, regional, and national levels. Prior to delving into the real estate industry almost 21 years ago, Sharon was in the nursing field for 17yrs. She truly has a heart for people and is extremely active in her community, spearheading back-to-school supply drives and personal care item donation drives for the elderly.
Chuck Young, Commissioner
As Executive Vice President of Development for Prestwick Development Company, Chuck Young is responsible for sourcing Class A and workforce multifamily development opportunities throughout the country. Fifteen years of experience in both the public and private real estate sectors, LEED Certification and involvement with the Urban Land Institute, combined with a degree in Professional Studies (Architecture) from SUNY Buffalo and a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from Georgia Tech provide a unique background and range of experience that benefits both Chuck’s team and the company’s clients.
