Regular BOC Meetings
(Near beginning and end of meetings)
The Cobb County Board of Commissioners welcomes visitors to Board meetings and is willing to hear from any person or persons desiring to appear before the Board. Sec. 1.09
A total of twenty (20) speakers are allowed to address the Board of Commissioners at each Regular Meeting of the Commission, ten near the beginning and ten near the end of the meeting. Each speaker will be allotted a maximum of three (3) minutes to speak. Sec. 1.09.01 a.
All remarks shall be made to the commission as a body and addressed through the Chair. Remarks shall not be made to a particular Commissioner. Sec. 1.09.03
No person shall be allowed to announce their candidacy or another's nor campaign for themselves or other announced political candidates. No speaker shall make slanderous remarks while addressing the Commission. Sec. 1.09.05
CobbTV Broadcasting Policy
Endorsements: At no time will the Government Access Channel be utilized to endorse a [ballot] issue, candidate, specific person, company or brand name product. par. F
Promotions: Promotional announcements for county and/or municipal sponsored events will be permitted. Promotional announcement for events, charities or outside organizations not government sponsored shall not be permitted. par. G

Regular BOC Meetings
Persons wishing to address the Board of Commissioners in duly advertised public hearings will be heard in the order in which they come forward upon announcement of the hearing, without regard to whether the person is speaking in favor or against the matter. Each speaker is generally allotted a maximum of three (3) minutes. Sec. 1.09.08
BOC Zoning Hearings, BZA Hearings, Planning Commission Zoning Hearings
Representatives/applicants, as a group, and representatives/opponents, as a group, shall be given a maximum of ten (10) minutes for each side to present its case, unless, by general consensus, more time is allotted.
