Cobb's Board of Commissioners joined a growing list of jurisdictions opposing proposed legislation that would increase the weight limit of trucks from 80,000 pounds to 90,000 pounds on state and local roads.  The resolution passed 5-0.

The increase could damage roads local taxpayers have to pay for and dramatically increase the risk of these trucks becoming involved in accidents.
