 JUNE 14 - JULY 27

β›³Have a hole lot of fun at the new mini golf course opening this summer at Cobb Civic Center, 548 South Marietta Parkway SE, Marietta. Stay indoors and putter around with us. Our wildly dedicated team of builders (Cobb staff) set up a mini golf course just for you and your family! Bring your peeps over to play June 14 - July 27. 

Monday - Thursday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. 
Fridays and Saturdays - 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Closed Sundays
$10 per person

TUESDAY, JULY 2

Family Frog and Salamander Walk 7 - 8:30 p.m. at Heritage Park in Mableton. Information and registration here.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 3

πŸŽ‰Kennesaw’s Salute to America – Rock out to live music at the pre-Independence Day celebration 6 - 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 3 at Depot Park, 2829 Cherokee Street. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. More info here.

THURSDAY, JULY 4

πŸŽ‡ Marietta’s Fourth in the Park Festival – Celebrate Independence Day 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.  Thursday, July 4, at the Marietta Square. The parade starts at 10 a.m., followed by live music, an arts and crafts show, and fireworks. Learn more here.

πŸ” Powder Springs 4th of July Celebration - Wear red, white, and blue  6 - 10 p.m. Thursday, July 4, at Thurman Springs Park, 4485 Pineview Drive. Enjoy a car show, food vendors, two live bands, beer and wine, and amazing fireworks starting at 9:30 p.m. More info here.

πŸ˜„  Acworth July 4th Concert & Fireworks – Join the  4th of July festivities 4 - 10 p.m. Thursday, July 4, at Cauble Park, 4425 Beach Street. Enjoy live music starting at 5:30 p.m. and a spectacular fireworks show over Lake Acworth around 9:30 p.m. General admission is free. More info here.

ANNUAL FISHING RODEOS

SATURDAY, JULY 6

Round up your gear and saddle up for the annual Cobb PARKS Fishing Rodeo. You have four chances to cast your line at our fishing ponds. Catch the big one and earn bragging rights. Winners will be awarded at each event.
Parents - just register the kids who are fishing, $5 per child.
Bring your own gear, bait, water, snacks, etc.

All events are 9 - 11 a.m., rain or shine.

FARMERS MARKET AND RESOURCE FAIRS
Get free products, food, resources and services at Cobb and Douglas Public Health Farmers Market and Resource Fairs in July and August. There will be fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables and herbs. Markets are open to the entire community.
WIC participants: bring a WIC ID to receive $30 free per eligible WIC participant per season.

Events are 8 a.m. - noon at two locations:

THE TEMPEST, JUNIOR!

Come, hither, and witness "Tempest, Junior!" A jolly, puppet-filled rendition of The Tempest, trimmed to a sprightly 45 minutes. Suitable for bairns as tender as four summers old. Expect mirthful engagement and much revelry in this delightful digest of Master Shakespeare's comedy.
Hasteth to the Black Box Theatre at Sewell Mill Library, 2051 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, on Wednesday, July 10 at the stroke of 7 PM. Anon, yon babes shall be enraptured! Appropriate for ages 4-7. Readeth more here anon.

THURSDAY, JULY 11

Keep Cobb Beautiful Litter Index event - Volunteer to ride around with Keep Cobb Beautiful and help identify areas in communities that can benefit from beautification and restoration using the Litter Index Survey. Join them 9 a.m.  - 4 p.m. on July 11 at Jim R. Miller Event Center, 2245 Callaway Road SW, Marietta. Breakfast will be provided.

FRIDAY, JULY 12

Get in on the recycling action with Keep Cobb Beautiful for a Pop-up Drop-off recycling event. Drop off aluminum cans and hard-to-recycle plastics 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, July 12 at Al Bishop Softball Complex, 1082 Al Bishop Dr., Marietta.

SATURDAY, JULY 13

The Cobb Sheriff's Office is getting Cobb kids ready to go back to school with a fun event on Saturday, July 13 from 10 am - 2 pm at Fair Oaks Recreation Center in Marietta. Enjoy games, crafts, inflatables, and interactive activities for all ages; resources for parents and educators; and refreshments and snacks from the concession stands.  Register for this free event here.

MONDAY, JULY 15

Family Fun Safety Days

It's the last Family Fun Safety Day of the summer -  Spice up your summer at this fun and educational event. Come to the Cobb Safety Village where kids will get inside emergency vehicles, hop into a squad car, ring the firetruck bell, watch a puppet show and learn about how to stay safe in the home.

No need to register.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 17

Recycled Art Contest
Students in grades 6 - 12 can enter the Keep Cobb Beautiful annual Recycling Craft Contest. Make an art piece out of recycled materials. Bring the art to Switzer Library on July 17 and prepare to tell a panel of judges about your art. There will be prizes! Read more and enter here.

THURSDAY, AUG. 1

Atlanta Braves / Keep Cobb Beautiful Green Team Event on Aug. 1 - Volunteer to collect recyclables between innings and cheer on the Braves from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.  25 volunteer spots are available.  You must be at least 18 years old to register. Info and registration here.  You can also sign up for the event on  Sept. 5.

TUESDAY, AUG. 6

National Night Out

Join Cobb Public Safety and other county organizations for National Night Out 6 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 6. Build a stronger, safer community by fostering connections between our community and Cobb County Public Safety. Let's come together for a night filled with fun, food, and festivities. Bring your family, meet your local public safety personnel, and enjoy a night of unity and positivity. Together, we make our community safer. 

Keep Cobb Beautiful will have a table with information about recycling, giveaways, and the KSU OwlSwap Closet.
Cobb PAL's Step Team will be performing.
