Four Ways You Can Help

Many of you have reached out to ask what you can do to help our public health department and essential health care professionals. Here are four ways they suggest you can support those who are working tirelessly on the front lines.

Donate supplies such as clinical masks and cloth face coverings so we can distribute them to local long-term care facilities and shelters. Donations like these will show your support and make a difference for those in need.

Provide cards or letters of appreciation to let these front-line workers know how much you appreciate their efforts to eliminate this virus. Homemade signs and cards by our children are particularly appreciated.

Cobb & Douglas Public Health has been working to support our local restaurants by ordering lunch for our workers. However, our budget is limited, so gifts of lunch, family dinners or snacks for front line workers is tremendously appreciated.

Many of our employees are also facing financial stresses due to spousal layoffs and daycare issues while continuing to report daily as an “essential worker.” If you’d like to support our Employee Emergency Fund or any other Cobb & Douglas Public Health program in need, please contribute to our Cobb & Douglas Health Foundation.

Thank you for supporting our front-line workers!
