Help Coming for CobbLinc's Paratransit Service
Image
Supply chain issues involving vehicle manufacturers and parts suppliers left CobbLinc’s Paratransit system depleted.
- Most of the fleet is past its useful life and parts can’t be found to fix those in the garage
- CobbLinc purchased 22 replacement vehicles that were due last December, but they have now been delayed another 18-24 months
- Cobb’s Board of Commissioners approved the rental of 14 vehicles from contractor First Transit and have borrowed several vans from Cobb’s Senior Services to join the fleet
These temporary vehicles should be hitting the streets this week to help bring the Paratransit fleet back up to speed. We thank those who depend upon this service for their patience as we work through these issues.
