UPDATE: The task force conducting independent air testing around the Sterigenics plant in Cobb County has paused their work while the plant suspends operations for a construction project. Smyrna Fire Chief Roy Acree, a member of the Smyrna/Cobb/Atlanta Oversight Committee, said, “In our efforts to conduct independent air sampling, we currently have a full week of data. We will resume ambient air sampling after production resumes at Sterigenics.”
