Lee was the Chairman of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners from 2010-2017 and was instrumental in working with the Braves to bring their stadium and the Battery Atlanta development to Cobb County.
Lee died in 2019 after a battle with cancer.
More than 9 million have visited the Battery, and more than 5500 workers are employed here. The newly-named road is on the western side of the complex and runs between Battery Avenue and Windy Ridge Parkway.
