Renew a Weapons Carry License

The Cobb County Probate Court allows our customers renewing their Weapons Carry License to renew by mail.  Customers who would prefer to renew their license in person may continue to do so.   Note:  The renewal period for a Georgia Weapons Carry License is when there is less than 90 days before expiration, but no more than 30 days after expiration.  

Customers who wish to take advantage of the opportunity to renew their Weapons Carry License by mail should follow the instructions below:

  1. At this time, we are only able to offer the opportunity to renew by mail to customers who were issued a Weapons Carry License by the Cobb County Probate Court.  Customers who have a license from another county who now reside in Cobb County must renew in person.  
  2. Please print and complete the Weapons Carry License Renewal Application (  Note:  Click on link - application can be found on the bottom left of the screen ) and sign the application in front of a notary public. (Applications that are not properly notarized will not be accepted.)
  3. Mail your completed, notarized application, along with a copy of your photo ID showing your current Cobb County address, a check or money order made payable to the Cobb County Probate Court in the amount of $30 to the following address: Cobb County Probate Court, Attn: License Division, 32 Waddell Street, Marietta, GA 30090.

PLEASE NOTE: Customers who would prefer to renew their license in person may continue to do so by making an appointment using the first time application process detailed above.
