Did you know Smokey Bear is turning 80 this year? To celebrate, Cobb County Public Library is launching Smokey Bear's Reading Challenge from August 9 to November 22 on Beanstack.

Join us in honoring Smokey’s legacy by participating in this special reading challenge. Youth and their families are invited to read about wildfire prevention, forests, and natural resource careers while exploring their local environment.

Smokey Bear’s message, "Only You Can Prevent Wildfires," remains as relevant today as it was 80 years ago. Developed by the USDA Forest Service and partners, this campaign continues to teach vital wildfire prevention to generations.
