About Stout Park

Stout Park is OPEN!   Open spaces fading into wooded acres make up this 300+ acre park.  Sweetwater Creek runs through a portion of the property adding a calming view to the scenery.  The property contains two previous residences which are available for classes, meetings, and gatherings.  Trails wind through the property for pedestrians as well as horses to enjoy.  Phase I of the park Master Plan has been completed and includes an equestrian show ring, pull-through horse trailer parking, vehicle parking, and restrooms, all of which are available for patrons who visit this beautiful property.  Additionally, deceleration and turn lanes have been constructed and a crossing signal installed at Brownsville Road to allow pedestrians and horses safe access to the park. 

PLEASE NOTE:

  • The large red barn on the Brownsville Road side of the property is closed to the public.
  • Riding helmets are required for all horse riders.
  • Trailer parking only in designated spaces.
  • Do not touch or feed horses in the pasture.
  • Under Georgia Law, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for the injury to or death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risk of equine activities, pursuant to Chapter 12 of Title 4 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated.
  • All riders must clear manure from the parking lot immediately.
  • Negative Coggins Test Documentation is required.
  • All dogs must remain leashed and under control at all times and Owners must clean up after their pets.
