Elections Info - December 6 runoff election and other updates
FRIDAY SETS ANOTHER ADVANCE VOTING RECORD
December 3, 2022 -Nearly 30,000 Cobb voters cast ballots for the Dec. 6 runoff on Friday. The 29,699 voters set a one-day record for participation in Advance Voting. 146,464 cast ballots during the Advance Voting period. The most popular A/V location was the Tim D. Lee Senior Center in east Cobb.
Polls will open Tuesday from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. YOU MUST VOTE AT YOUR ASSIGNED PRECINCT TUESDAY. If you don’t know where your precinct is, visit the “My Voter” page at https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/.
Absentee ballots can be returned to the Main Election office during extended hours.
• Saturday, December 3rd, from 10:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
• Monday, December 5th, from 8:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, December 6th, from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

November 23 - The Cobb County Board of Elections and Registration met and again recertified the November 8 general election.

November 22 - Cobb County Board of Elections and Registration will meet at 2:30 p.m. to recertify the results of the November 8 general election following the recount in the Kennesaw City Council Post 1 race. The meeting will occur at their headquarters at 995 Roswell Street, Marietta.

November 21 - Cobb Elections officials will offer Saturday (November 26 only) advance voting for the December 6 runoff from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at five locations.

November 18 - Cobb’s Board of Elections and Registration voted to recertify the results of the November 8th general and special election during a special-called meeting on Friday, November 18.
The recertification was necessary after workers discovered a memory card had not been included in the previous results. The additional ballots resulted in a change in the Kennesaw City Council Post 1 Special Election.
Because of the narrow margin of victory, the board agreed to recount the race as required by state law. This recount will happen on Sunday at noon.
