Cobb County is putting up Emergency Location Markers on hundreds of miles of trails across the county. These markers will give trail users the ability to tell dispatchers exactly where they are if they need help. For dispatchers and first responders, the program will let them quickly determine who needs to be sent on the rescue, and the quickest route they should take.
