Parks Bond Properties Master Plan Information

Cobb County PARKS hosted a series of public input meetings to discuss planning for the future of new park properties purchased through the 2008 PARKS Bond program. Although there is currently no funding for the development of these properties, your input played a vital role in the planning for future development, once such funding is identified. Comments received at these meetings and all display boards can be found by clicking on the links below.

 

Parks Bond Properties and Meeting Comments

Anderson Road - Schmidt Park

The meeting for the 33.3 acre Anderson Road property was held on July 18 at the West Cobb Senior Center.  This property is on Anderson Road near Burnt Hickory Road in Marietta and includes a pond, house and barn structure.

Ebenezer Downs Park

The meeting to discuss the 17.6 acre Ebenezer Road property was held on August 7, at Noonday Baptist Church, 4121 Canton Road, Marietta, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.

Henderson Road

The meeting for the combined 28 acre Henderson Road property was held on August 8 at the South Cobb Community Center, 620 Lions Club Drive, Mableton. 

Kemp Family Park

The meeting for the 94.9 acre Kemp property was held on August 5, at the West Cobb Senior Center, 4915 Dallas Highway, Powder Springs.  This property is located along Burnt Hickory Road in West Cobb bordering Harrison High School and Dominion Christian School.

Old Westside

The meeting for the 14.6. acre Old Westside Road property was held on August 12, at the Ron Anderson Community Center at Wild Horse Creek Park, 3829 Macedonia Road, Powder Springs. 

Price/Stilesboro

The meeting for the 120 acre addition to Leone Hall Price Park was held on July 31 at the West Cobb Senior Center at 4915 Dallas Highway, Powder Springs.
