Reopening Cobb (Update) - Recreation and Art Centers now open
FAQ’s - When will Cobb facilities reopen?
The following is an initial plan based upon current Executive Orders by the Governor and Public Health guidance. These plans could change as the situation develops. Monitor cobbcounty.org and other county information sources for details.
Parks - Outdoor county parks are open. Visitors are encouraged to follow social distancing guidelines.
Summer Camps - Due to the tight health restrictions imposed for camps by the Governor’s Executive Orders, Cobb County has suspended summer camp programs.
Tennis Centers - The six Cobb tennis centers are now open. There will be limits on class size for lessons and limited access to the buildings. Water fountains and ice machines will not be available, so please bring your own. Satellite tennis courts are open for play.
Aquatic Centers - Cobb PARKS indoor Aquatic Centers are now open between the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. Lanes will be available for lap swimming and designated lanes will also be available for exercising. Swim lessons will not be offered at this time due to social distancing requirements. We will update the website and our social media accounts with any changes in the pool hours and available activities.
Recreation Centers - Cobb County Recreation Centers have reopened at a limited capacity. Operating hours will be Monday-Friday 10am-7pm, Saturday 9am-3pm. Gyms will be available for “shoot around” only. No organized (games, scrimmages, etc.) play permitted. Classes and programs will be offered while adhering to social distancing guidelines.
As we move forward in re-opening, the hours of operation may change to accommodate our programs. Organized basketball programming will not resume until social distancing recommendations are relaxed.
Please check this website for updates on the action Cobb County is taking for the COVID-19 situation.

Program Registration will begin Wednesday, June 10th at 9 a.m. (We highly encourage online registration) The centers will offer a hybrid of in person and online classes. Please check the website for online registration information and program updates.
Facilities will operate with limited public access which is dependent upon occupancy, based on recommendations from the CDC. Screening processes will be in place to enter facilities.
Playgrounds / Restrooms - Playgrounds and at least one restroom facility (per park) are now open.
Organized Activities - We are awaiting further public health guidance on when to allow organized sporting activities to resume.
