Shelter arrival date: 09/11/24 Name: Ray ID#: 661818 Medical info: Heartworm negative Eligible for Rescue: Now! Sponsorship: $625 Specifics: Ray is a cute boy! He was found in a backyard after his previous owner moved away and left him behind. He was very shy and scared when he arrived. He cowered in in his cage. He was put on anti-anxiety meds and a week or so later he felt much better, coming to the front of his cage, and wanting to engage. Ray doesn’t seem to see out of his right eye. After an exam it was determined he had severe inflammation INSIDE his eye. He needs further work up with a regular DVM or ophthalmologist. More photos and video: Petfinder.com |

Shelter arrival date: 10/13/24 Name: 662622 ID#: 662622 Medical info: combo negative, neurological issue, blindness Eligible for Rescue: 10/20/24 Specifics: This little manx girl is about a year old and was brought to the shelter as an injured kitty. She appears to be blind and has mobility issues – stumbling, falling over, leaning, and wobbling while walking. She doesn’t want to walk or stand and when she does, she is very unsteady. There are no external signs of trauma seen. We are not sure if her unwillingness to walk is due to visual impairment or a neurologic condition. She needs rescue as soon as possible; she’s scared and this is no place for a kitty that can’t see. She is very sweet and very vocal when you start petting her. She needs further work up with a veterinarian. |
