Cobb County Government

Due to potentially inclement weather, Cobb County Government offices, courts and facilities — including libraries and senior centers — will delay opening until 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 17.

PLEASE NOTE: All Cobb County libraries will be closing at 6:00 pm tonight. All programs and events for tonight are canceled and will be rescheduled if possible. Libraries will reopen tomorrow morning, Wednesday, at 10:00 am as normal.

Chairman Mike Boyce’s town hall scheduled for 9:30-10:30 a.m. at North Cobb Senior Center will still take place.

Staff Reports

Did you know that your old Christmas trees can be recycled? Recycling trees creates mulch, fuel, wildlife habitats and other useful material. You can’t take your trees to the landfill, so why not help the community by recycling your old tree this holiday season? Keep Cobb Beautiful will sponsor free recycling drop-offs throughout the area.
Cobb County Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs specified locations will accept drop-offs through Jan. 7. Selected Home Depot locations throughout the county will only accept trees on Saturday, Jan. 7.
