The Ultimate CheerFest 2017

CHEER LOUD/CHEER PROUD!!! Cobb P.A.R.K.S. will present the 10th Annual Ultimate CheerFest 2017. Come celebrate the 10th anniversary of this great competition with us! The competition will be held on Sunday, Nov. 5 at the Cobb Civic Center.  This is a recreation team cheerleading competition for ages 5-14. Early bird registration is only $10 per person and includes a t-shirt for every participant.

Fall Festival of Fun

Cobb P.A.R.K.S. along with Cobb County Public Safety, Safe Kids Cobb County and Cobb County 4-H are hosting the 18th Annual Fall Festival of Fun on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at Jim Miller Park. The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. This event will provide the children of Cobb County a safe alternative to the traditional Trick-or-Treat in their neighborhoods.

The festival will include arts and crafts, games, inflatable rides, police and fire activities, costume contests for kids and adults, coloring contests, a photo booth and other surprises. Parking, entrance to the park, games, candy and contests are free (there is a fee for concessions and inflatable rides). Come wearing your Halloween costume and be sure to bring a bag to carry all of your candy!

2017 'Fun in the Park' Photo Contest

As you are out enjoying Cobb County PARKS' activities and parks, be sure to bring your camera and capture the fun and memories of your sports activities, the beauty of nature and wildlife in the parks and anything else that shows why you enjoy your day at the park. The 13th Annual "Fun in the Park" Photo Contest will be accepting entries throughout the summer. Enter up to 10 of your best shots for fun and awards! Open to all photographers. West Cobb Farmers Market offers locally-grown food

Cobb County Farm Bureau and Cobb County P.A.R.K.S. are partnering to bring a new Farmers' Market to Cobb County.  Every Tuesday from 3pm-7pm, local farmers will have booths set up at Lost Mountain Park, located at 4845 Dallas Highway in  Powder Springs. Customers will be able to shop and eat locally-grown items from vendors providing eggs, meat, breads/baked goods, jams/jellies/preserved items and produce. The farmers market will continue through the summer and into the fall through the month of October.
